I would like to thank the following people, who have been involved in this project somehow:
- The students of class 1A and 1B and staff of the Training & Human Development study programme, HAN University;
- Fellow dissertation students of the ELMAC course for their peer feedback during the local sessions
- Eric, for his flexibility and his expert advice on research methodologies;
- Steef, for his open mind and his unlimited patience;
- … And Esther of course, to whom this whole project has been dedicated. Without your love and support, this would have been impossible.
Respect to the following software programs and platforms used either as part of the experiment, or in the creation of this blog. These programs and platforms have not let me down in the heat of the moment, and are highly recommended:
- Google Blogger – the host of this dissertation blog. Highly flexible and easy to use.
- Twitter – for posting short reflection updates, either via web or via mobile
- YouTube – the platform that hosts the short reflection videos, both mine and the students’.
- Flickr – hosts all the images used in this experiment
- Scribd – hosts all the text-based addendums for this dissertation, as Blogger does not support attachments.
- SlideShare – for hosting the PowerPoint files used in the workshops
- Freewebs – for hosting all the stuff that did not go on any of the above platforms
- Windows Live Writer – So far the only program that makes it possible to write a dissertation as a weblog.
Best wishes,
Frank Thuss, June 2009
